Chris Gayle, the highest run-scorer in that chase, featured in the IPL’s highest chase, which registered a total of 263 runs achieved by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against the Pune Warriors India in 2013. He scored an astonishing 175 runs off just 66 balls and is remembered as one of the most amazing performances in the IPL. It was the 175 runs scored by Gayle that had a lot of explosive batting with 13 fours and 17 sixes – a complete delight with power and finesse, which was instrumental in taking RCB to the highest chase in IPL history. This innings not only set the record for the highest score in the chase, but also defined Gayle’s position as one of the greatest T20 players of all time.
